Discover IT

Can anyone tell me why there are 2 different discover it cards im prequalify for? 1 looks silver with a 19% interest rate after 0% for 14 months with 5% rotating categories and 2nd a green one with 0% for 6 months and 0% for 12 months on a balance transfer same 5% back. It looks like the same card but im scared one might be a student card in disguise and I picked im not a student.

Re: Discover IT

Welcome rhall,

The Discover IT Miles (great for travel) and the Discover IT Cashback Match (doubles cashback first year).

I think a student card says student but hopefully someone else will confirm whether this is accurate or not.

Re: Discover IT

They're the same card with different BT/Purchase offers. One is called "Discover IT - 18 Month BT Offer" where you get 0% BT for 18 months but only 6 months for purchases. The other is "Discover IT - Cashback Match" where you get 0% for 14 month for both BT and purchases. They're otherwise identical, both have cashback match for the first year and the same 5% categories. I had the same question when I cold apped in May and had to call in to verified
