Discover Pre-Approval with Solid APRs

For those with pre-existing cards that are curious, I applied for a CI today and was automatically approved for a $2,000 increase, raising my total limit to $3,500.

I already have a Discover It, and they just gave me a new 12 month 0% apr, and yet I was Pre-approved for It and Chrome.  My Ficos are 838/817/838.

I keep hulk smashing for fun and always same no. I should be eligble on the 17th. If they dont give me one then im done . Its fun for awile but sometimes you just gotta move on

@averagejoe did something happen with you and disco in the past?

So I pulled the trigger on the Disco Miles card after a preapproval. After submitting documentation and calling in I was approved for a 5K SL. I was hoping it would be a little more but in good with it. It took me awhile to make my decision on what card to go with. I'm in the garden now. Also, I have not received a HP yet.

My daughter did the Discover prequalify and picked out a pink card - they then asked for her to upload documentation of proof of residence & ss# - is it possible they would ask for documents and then decline her, or does a document request mean she has been approved? It was a prequalify for It or Chrome at 24.99 %. She's rebuilding. She didn't have her social sec card with her to submit and will do so tomorrow. What do you guys think?

I was wondering if it might be easier for rebuilders to get credit now because the pool of unfrozen CR's has decreased because of the Equifax thing. I'm guessing yes.

Ahh, you Discover newbs with no hps,. Back in my day we had to earn our stripes( 3,4, or in my case 6 hps).......lol, my day was a year ago haha.

I haven't seen any discover inquiries except for the one denial from them back in march of this year.

After reading through this thread, I decided to test the waters. Pre- approval showed It and Chrome cards @ 23.99%. Already have an It card that is 15 months old (limit $1,150). Instant approval for Chrome card SL $13,500. All I can say is WOW. I still have approximately 3 paid charge offs and late payments from less than 2 years ago still on my report. Util less than 1%. Average income. I'm in shock considering I was just denied for a 2nd Discover card on 9/7/17.
