Discover and Chase Auto CLI

Hey guys,

Quick question here - how good are Chase and Discover with Auto CLI, how often do they give them (if they do) and when should I expect my first one?

I got a Discover It ($2500 limit) and a Chase Freedom ($2200 limit) both around January 20 (both the same day). I've maxed them both at times, paid them off, and now currently using them around 10% utilization each month. I've never been late on a CC payment, and according to Experian i'm at 703 FICO, 48% utilization (all of it in a single AMEX card I recently used to pay tuition, plan on paying those $10k between now and December 31.

Chase is not good with auto CLI and Disocver is fair with auto CLI.  With Discover, you can request one yourself which makes it a beauty.. So depending on your profile, you can get one every month.

With Chase, you ca nget it once in a blue moon or none at all...

Is it true that you can request one for the Discover card with a soft pull?? I think I've read that before.

Any good strategy on how to maximize your increase? Absolutely no risk of getting a hp right? Is this done by going to your account and looking for a "Request a Limit Increase" or something like that?

there's ALWAYS a risk of HP but they'll tell you prior to that. or just do it on the phone if you're worried and ask them. if they say its SP and they HP then get it taken off. the convos are recorded..
