INSUFFICIENT EXPERIENCE WITH CURRENT DISCOVER CARD CREDIT LIMIT
Yes, be patient. It took 2+ years for me to get my first CLI on my 2nd Disco - but then they gave me two increases in short order. I doubt that you'll have a similar experience -- I've got a unique profile -- so take heart and let the card age a little bit and try, try again.

I usually play it on the reserved side, i know its a long game.
At 14 months i got my first cli on disco card #1 1500 and in only a few months after that i got my 2nd cli on that card 1000.
