I got denied a cli from discover. It graduated to unsecured in April. I'm not sure what this denial reason means. "Insufficient Experience w/ Current Discover Card Credit Limit". Does discover want me to run up the $1,800 credit limit?

My guess would be that since it's only been unsecured for less than 6 months so far, that's not enough of a time frame for them to judge whether or not to grant your CLI. I would wait a few more months and then maybe try again.

agreed - i always read that as - Too Soon since your Last Increase
with Disco, you can try every month anyway - so give it a couple of more months - and make sure you do use it during that time
Get that all the time with Discover and I have had one of their cards since 2014. Probably because I ask every time a statement cuts it is true that I have insufficient experience with current credit limit. I have found that usage and time since last increase seem to be the big factors besides overall credit rating.

Just means not right now, try again
. Dont read too much into it though using ones Discover card is much more prone to getting Disco luv than one who does not![]()
I noticed my denials are similar and always refer to the my last discover fico scorecard on file. Maybe try again when it updates.
