Discover it CLI?

I applied for the card about a month ago and was automatically approved with a SL of $2500.

My current balance is $223.27 and my statement closing date is April 27th.

I was and still am unhappy with my SL.

When do you all recommend that I request a CLI on this card?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!!

Re: Discover it CLI?

I have seen many dofferent answers to your question. Their increase if you request online are usually soft pulls, but I also heard it can be a HP for the first six months. Yoh can still try online and they'll say if they want to HP you. Then you can decide from there. I've seen people get increases a couple months in, then some nkt till.several months in.

Re: Discover it CLI?

When you hit credit line increase you will get a soft pull unless Discover asks to make a hard pull. You do not have to agree to the hard pull. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Re: Discover it CLI?

At 3 months I was given an automatic increase. At 5 I did a SP request but did not get approved. You don't have to but I would wait until the 3rd month before asking. You might just get it and not have to do any pulling. lol That made me laugh for some reason

Re: Discover it CLI?

My statement cut on every 17th of the month and April 28 is my 90 days with Discover. That day I can submit credit line increase request since it does not allow me to do before 90 days per customer service advise. Hope to credit line increase soon coz I hate to get stuck at $500 limit. Stinks!

Whenever you feel like it, as it's a soft pull and there's no harm done.

I've gotten 7 CLI's at intervals of from 20 days to 92 days.

After 91 days.

Don't sweat the credit limit; they give a lot of increases.

Re: Discover it CLI?

Same here.  I can't say when I ask, I just do.  Can't hurt anything unless they asked for an HP.  It adds up quickly.  Good luck.
