Wow! that is a low starting limit, but I shouldn't be concerned as I have nothing at the moment. I'll give the QS1 a shot this evening. Question, is the Barclays Rewards a solid first unsecured card?
From what I have read on here is that Barclay's likes to see a good 6 - 12 months go credit history. So you might want to hold off on them. Did you get the QS1?
No, I haven't applied as of yet. I'll get around to it this afternoon when I return to the office. The triple-pull kind of put me off from applying last night.

This seems to be correct. It appears that Barclay does not like to be your first credit card. I was denied by them twice due to a "lack of bankcard experience." At that point I had only had 2 store cards for about 9 months. So after 2 Barclay denials, I tried for Capital One and was approved. After 6 months with Cap1, I tried Barclay again, and finally got approved. I can't stress enough that Capital One is one of the best lenders to start out with.
And like the poster above stated, the triple pull is only one pull for each bureau, and it's not that big of a deal. Those inquiries quit affecting your score after 12 months, and fall off after 2 years. No need to fear the inquiries right now when you're just starting out. It's more important to get a revolving history going than to worry about one inquiry on each bureau.
I'm going to apply for the QS1 in one hour. Hopefully the pre-qual site proves to be solid.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes. I've got my fingers crossed for you!
So I was approved, with a SL of $300. But it is my first approval for an unsecured card. Is there anyway I can increase the limit?
