Same FICO is probably the same one they display when logged in and hasn't updated for its monthly cycle. They seem to be a bit off on updating lately from the normal 30 day cycle. Just wait until you see it update online and then hammer that button! I found mixed results on waiting for it to update vs just hitting the button every week on Monday's. I've learned being persistent with Discover pays off with time.
I'm looking forward to my next CLI request on the 9th. I always do it on the 9th every month. Auto CLIs seem to come on or about the 6th for me, which is 2 days after Discover reports. I always give it an extra 3 days just to be sure I'm not getting an auto-CLI first, so I go with the 9th. I'm sure most are aware, but auto CLIs have zero bearing at all on receiving manual (requested) CLIs which is why I wait to see if I first receive an auto one... because if I do, I can still hit the button on the 9th and get another.
How often does everyone click the CLI button?
Iv been trying roughly at 31 days for awhile.. (cept i poked it twice a few times... and once I was right, i was off on my math, notsomuch the other)
How I did it (waited for the first auto CLI which was roughly 93 days from opening, or 2-3 days after third statement was generated/emailed)
Hit it again ...
Then every 31 days after that...
Roughly once a month.. but as some have said,, I do think the timing should be after Discover does your monthly score pulll...
THe schedule for CLI (if your fortunate) is something like... 31/61/91 days... but the amounts may differ.... at some point your CLI might end up being a semi-predictable 500$
Untill recently I got a CLI roughly every 31 days for the past few months.... But missed... so its likely ill be seeing CLI's at 61 day intervals..... if it misses again... its 91 day intervals as long as your score is going up or your not hitting other barriers...
Remember this is trial and error ancedotal evidence.. but even some Discover reps say you can try every 31 days...

My plan for now will be to try on the 9th of every month... but if I get a denial reason that I don't have enough experience with the current limit I'll probably hit the button again the following week as by doing it on the 9th every month depending on the length of the month I could be coming in at a day or two under 31 days, but hitting it the following week would certainly be more than 31 days. People have reported CLIs 21 days apart with Discover, so I don't really believe that the 31 day thing is a hard and fast rule as there are plenty of exceptions (more frequent) out there.
If you bring your utilization down, say to 19% or less you'll see some even better CLIs IMO. Also if you PIF I bet those CLIs would be in the thousands instead of the hundreds. Just some food for thought for future CLI requests. Nice job poking the bear however. The squeaky wheel gets the oil!
