I go every other month and the last 3 attempts have been for a total of $18K+. Some go monthly and When I was trying to time them out I was hitting them weekly w/ no real results.
You should see somehting if you do get an auto CLI between now and 3/10 which would be your "90 days" ish which might actually come out to 3/12 or something since feb has 28 days.
90 days seems to be the threshold before they'll consider one unless you see the auto. If you don't see an auto it doesn't hurt to hit the button before 90 days but, chances are it will be denied. After you hit the button then set your calendar for say 6/1 8/1 10/1 12/1 and just hit it every other month.
You're welcome!
I felt there was a need for something on Disco and it turned out there actually was a need by everyone reporting here and those that are lurking in the shadows. I was frustrated with hit or miss info on them while deciding to go for them and what to do afterwards. Info was scattered about everywhere and it wasn't very comprehensive to say the least. As long as we keep reporting on Disco there shall be life blown back into Disco with faithful customers like us. It's been nice providing personal triumphs with Disco to ispire others to hang onto their cards and show them the light along the way. Everyone bashes the places you supposedly can't use them but, really they're accepted in 99% of the places their other cards are. Only time I might run into an issue would be in a small town environment. There's always going to be that one place like Costco that doesn't take them based upon their exclusive agreements with such and such a bank over the years.
Hello all! I'm new to the Discover family and so far, I think the card is great! I live in a major metro city so I have not had any acceptance issues at all - which is great.
I was approved Feb 16th with a starting limit of $9k. I'm right at 6 months post discharge from a CH13 BK. My scores when applying were between 650-675. My question is, what can I expect by the way of auto CLI? My credit reports are clean, minus the BK of course, and everything is accurate. I don't forsee any increases in my scores until my BK drops in mid to late 2018 (will be trying for an early exclusion). So far I've charged less than $200 on gas and groceries and have PIF. I won't be letting a balance report because I like to keep my utilization under 5%.
My goal is to have at least 3 cards reporting credit limits of at least $10k by the time I'm ready to app for Citi and Chase. That will be in approx 24 months, so I have plenty of time.
Thanks for any advice!
Congrats! Hard to say though since the Auto is 50/50 when it comes down to it. IF you do get one then it could be anywhere between $500-$15000. The average though has been in the $1500-$3K range though. Either way if you don't get an auto then hit the button at 90 days to test the waters.

Thanks!
I'll see what happens in 90 days!
Congrats on the 90 days of aging!
Typically when someone converts I advise to wait a week for the backend systems to update for the CLI online and then hit the button since there's usually some money sitting there in addition to the CLI most are seeing at conversion. After that then go to an every other month approach just to squeeze the max CLI's out of them as time passes.
