Hello all! I have been a long time lurker and my score is finally worth posting about. I have had my eye on the Uber Visa card for awhile now, my Credit Karma is telling me I have a 709 with TU. I have a Synchrony CB2- 1600$ limit 4 months old, 755 balance, I have a Cap1 Quicksilver 500$ limit 6 months old, 0 balance, a PNC account which I am AU 2093 Balance with 10k limit, 2 years old, and an AMEX BC which I was a AU on about 8 years ago with a 500$ limit 0 balance, I am no longer on that account but the TL is active. I have 100% payment history, and 3 inquires, 1 is 1.5 years old.
I just would like to know if I have a solid chance applying for this card as my profile is fairly new. Thank you in advance!
Well, first of all get your real scores from Experian for $1 and don't use Vantage scores for trying to figure out what you might be approved for. They tend to vary considerably when you have a younger profile and can be off by 100 points in either direction.
Barclay's uses TU and if you're actually where CK says you are then it's worth a shot if you haven't been picking up a ton of activity on TU with new accounts and inq's.
Synchrony CB2- 1600$ limit 4 months old, 755 balance This is a bit higher than you should be for an optimal score... ideally you want to report under 8.9% of your CL but, a minimum of $5 to make it count for sure
Cap1 Quicksilver 500$ limit 6 months old, 0 balance, a
PNC account which I am AU 2093 Balance with 10k limit, 2 years old,
AMEX BC which I was a AU on about 8 years ago with a 500$ limit 0 balance, I am no longer on that account but the TL is active.
I have 100% payment history, and 3 inquires, 1 is 1.5 years old.
So, looking at this you have 2 acounts in your name and 2 AU acounts reporting... your FICO scores could be somewhere between 650-725 depending on how they score the AU accounts.
Like suggested above, i would get your true Fico first. And pay down any balances for optimal score boost.
If you're really at 700, then according to nerdwallet you'll be just barely in at a 690 minimum for approval. And from what I've heard about Barclays YMMV
Considering your HPs are low it might be worth a go.
Idon't have any DP an how they are with young thin files.
Barclays will approve you with 650 or so. I myself am a data point just 2 months ago. However, unsure with the recent new credit. It depends if they will factor in the AU. As far as credit history mine was a quite a bit longer due to years of installment loans.
The score itself is fine, it's the rest of the file that may or may not be borderline. Since you don't have many inquiries, it's worth a shot since it's TU. Depends how risk adverse you are.
You have a chance but maybe go for a Chase Freedom or Discover card first. The CO Savor is great for restaurants but has been a hard approval lately even for those with great scores.

Hi @Anonymous, welcome to the forums.
Adding to what was mentioned above, I'd wait until your youngest card crosses at least 9-12 months in age to optimize results. Also, the Uber card application is only available if you are targeted via the Uber app.
If you're targeted in the Uber app, that's at least a step above many of us!
