Hmm...well, my 180 days are up next week for my BCP and I am chomping at the bit waiting to ask for my CLI. What I can't figure out is how much to ask for, or whether to even try!
I have the Skymiles Platinum currently at $25k and the BCP at $7k. I had to reallocate to get there, though, as the BCP was originally only approved for $2k. I applied for BCP just about a month after requesting the CLI for the Delta card, so I'm thinking that made them disinclined to be generous with the SL on BCP. However, that low SL might also be a sign that I am nearing my personal limit with AmEx, across all cards.
So, fellow MyFICO community members, help me decide whether I should put in a CLI request. And if I do, how much do you think I should ask for? I amleaning toward asking for $15k on BCP and hope for a counter at $10k, but what do you think? And if they ask for the dreaded form and I opt not to disclose, can or will that incite AA? I think I can make a case for the larger limit if I were willing to disclose, but I am not inclined to do so if I can avoid it.
Other cards:
New BCP @ 25k
New SM @18.8k
New Arrival+ @ 15k
Old Chase, but CLI to $26.5k early this year

I don't think I'm forgetting anyone, but I might be! ![]()
Full 3x...Based on your other CL's you shouldnt have a problem as long as your income / profile support it, which based on your other TL's it does.
here's a stick. go ahead and poke away ![]()

So I should go poke the bear next week, and for the full amount, eh? Hmm...we'll see how it goes I guess. I'll ponder it, but $21k seems like a lot when they're already in for $25. Then again, Chase doesn't seem to mind being all in at $50+ so maybe it is possible.
Hopefully if it doesn't fly, they won't touch the accounts other than to deny or counter. Wish me luck!
