As others have said Chase has a very long memory. Last year during a recon call they asked me about an old Bank1 card I let go bad in 1999. I didn't even remember it.
As to why get in with them, they have arguably some of the best sign up offers and rewards cards out there. They brought up a Providian card I had in 1999.
I havent heard that name in a longgg time...lol
I'm sure thats in my report somewhere, lol

I started rehabbing my credit about 7 months ago when out of the blue I received offers from Walmart and Cap 1, then subsequently from Discover. Apparently several medical collections aged off of my report. I got curios what my report looked like, so I did the free annual thing. Shocked to see a charge off from Chase. Never had a Chase card in my life, but have been banking with them for about 4 years now. I finally figured out that Chase had bought out Providian. Thankfully, it's due to age off in a couple of months. But, I did get double dipped on it because they sold it to .pinnacle.

Since Chase sold it to Pinnicle, make sure that Chase is reporting their TL as zero.

Thanks. Yes, it is reporting as zero on the Chase TL. I did get TU to remove both the Chase and Pinnacle TLs via early exclusion, but EX wont budge, and I know EQ is pretty stanuch on EEs.
