If you have an account already, usually online in your inbox. If not, they should send a physical AA letter.

Re: Does macys credit card send denial letters

They denied me for inquires. Most of them are a year old or almost a year old. 7 are not. Most are from finding a auto loan. Called for reconsideration they rep was rude. And tried to tell me I was lying. Saying she was looking at them right now. Well she might want to get herself some glasses than. Then she said they dont do reconsideration. She cant override anything. I call bs on that. Cause I've seen in these threads they can. She was just rude and refused to do it.

That's fine I have 10 credit cards already. If they dont want my business. Even tho I keep my usage under 30% and have a excellent payment record. They can keep their stupid card. I dont shop there that much anyways. Just wanted it for xmas.

Re: Does macys credit card send denial letters

Called back got a women who said they dont do reconsideration. And I needed to contact the credit bearu over and over again
When I was asking her how old the inquiries need to be? How many inquiries can you have and still be approved. Just kept saying the credit bearu could tell me how many I could have and get approved for the card. That makes no sense what does the credit bearu have to do with approving me for a macys card? At this point i except that noone at macys credit card services know what their talking about. They should atleast beable to tell you how many you can have if their going to deny you for how many you have
So you know before you apply again. Idiots!

There is something in your file (or the application) that is causing a problem. It could be bad timing (all updates not yet reporting), or possibly a typo in the application.

Here is the backdoor number to the credit department. Maybe they can possibly provide more information/assistance? I understand why you are annoyed but treat whomever picks up the phone like a prospective employer and be Super Nice! I sincerely hope they are able to help you.

Macy's: 800-627-2909

Re: Does macys credit card send denial letters

It's understandable that you're upset, but at this point just pick your battles and move forward with other lenders that may be more compatible with your profile.

Unfortunately, reconsiderations are up to the lender and whether they can overturn a decision or not is based on their own internal UW policies, not much that can be done if they say "no" repeatedly. Bottom line, the agents aren't going to be able to provide specifics for getting approved (or denied) depending on (a) the number of inquiries in a given period, (b) the number of new tradelines in any given period, or (c) score range, for instance. The computer makes these decisions based on complex algorithms.

So, the decline letter should hopefully address any key areas that may help understand how they arrived at their decision and you can go from there.
