Early Citi Secured Card Graduation; not so fast...

So Citi sent me a letter a month ago stating they where graduating my 18 month secured card at 10 months. Yay, awesome news!..  Well, that day has come and gone and no check and no change in card.  I contacted Citi to see if there was an issue and to check on availability of either a CLI or product change (Dividend or CashBack)...  Well online chat CSR had zero info. So i called a Specilist number the chat CSR gave me and was left to deal with a nice lady from Mumbai (Amy).  Amy explained that I HAD graduated, but Citi would need another 75 days to process/confirm/watch my continued good credit before anythng would happen.   While I get that they have due dilegence when determining if I am a candidate for early graduation; just don't send me a firm date when things are happening then miss that date for who knows why...  Wierd. Pissed. SMH.

Rant over, now on to practicing an attitude of gratitude...  I am grateful to the people here and on reddit who helped my move to a better place regarding my credit, thanks for letting me vent.

Yeah, that's weird. Sounds like they granted you an early release, but now you're on parole. They shouldn't tell you you've graduated then.

What a frustrating situation for you!

I feel like Citi's early graduation is either "hey!  you've graduated!  but not yet!" or  the mysterious check in the mail.
I hope if I early graduate, I get the mysterious check, I would hate to be unnecessarily frustrated by the graduation-but-not-yet

But congrats on the early graduation, even if it's really at 12 months (10 mos + 75d), that's still earlier than 18!

Well that sucks. Shoot. I'd take that congrats letter to a branch and tell them the story. See what they could do.

Success.  New card image posted on website and app on 6/30/2019.  Imeadiately went online and got a SP CLI of $500 to bring my limit to $1k.  Spoke to CSR and they couldn't PC me to Dividend or Cashback at this time.  Will try again in a month.  Good times....

I just got my citi graduation letter today stating congratulations your security deposit is no longer required and to wait 75 days to receive my new card. How did you see yours online so fast? What can I do to speed the process up and get my new card?

When did you get your secured card?  I got mine in June.
