Email from Chase

So on the 5th I had applied for the freedom on their website, and I got the 7-10 day notice. Then a few days later I this email, is this a good or bad sign? Screenshot_2015-06-09-00-44-45.png

Re: Email from Chase

I'd say depending upon your scores, income, INQ's, it could go either way. Can't really say without knowing more.

90% of the time it's a denial if you are not approved instantly.

Re: Email from Chase

This is my first time seeing this response. I agree with the other poster it could go either way.

I was reading on here that some folks were being declined for too many new accounts. It appears that Chase has been tightening the belt lately.

I hope it works out in your favor. Good luck!!!

Re: Email from Chase

That is the typical message for verification too..  It could either be a denial or verification.. All depends on your profile and scores and now new accoutns for their cards, not co-branded cards

I always get that message and two of them have been verification, then approved and the other times it has been denial (due to them pulling one of my bad reports, vs. a  cleaner report aka TU)

Re: Email from Chase

Curious what card you were applying for? CSP/Freedom/Slate or a co-branded one.

Re: Email from Chase

The message is verification.  These days, their verification can swing either way... Will keep fingers crossed for you and keep us posted on results.

Re: Email from Chase

I got this exact same message but with AMEX. It turned into an approval. Don't lose hope just yet.
