Can AmEx, or any lender, do a SP if you have Ex frozen?
What about NASA, check/savings accts only? They were softing me before but, not sure now since I needed to freeze Ex about 10 days ago

They can still SP you.
I know they do because they do it for me ![]()
Chase pre-qual works with EX frozen as well.
One drawback of EX freezing is that Credit Sesame stops working.
Thanks and perfect timing, got an update notice this AM from CredSes which states "technical difficulties" prevent an update. Without your info I'd have been wondering why!

Yep -- Credit Sesame won't work well if EX is frozen for some reason.

Yes, checking/savings only though. Declined for CC 1/8/15 too many INQs, limited history, AAoA >6yrs?, oldest acct 31yrs? Ex 647 then, now 698. They did another SP 2/6/15, probably another any day if they can pull through the freeze

I think it's something to do with EX's coding.
I was not able to create a Credit.com monitoring account either; because EX was frozen.
OTOH I get regular updates from Credit Karma (earlier TU, now TU and EQ), as well as scores from DCU and Citi (EQ), Discover and Barclays (TU), and the Cap One monitoring (TU). All 3 are frozen for me; EX monitoring is the only problem.
However, if you have accessed EX before, EX will allow you to login using your old report number; that helps me monitor. I have the US Bank EX Plus Score free FAKO and that updates, if anyone's wondering
Oh and ProtectmyID (got free last year from Target, for 1 year, now out-of-subscription) was able to generate immediate alerts (new inq, new a/c etc). So their own systems work, 3rd parties don't; seems like.
