My FNBO secured card graduated in January with a $1k CLI. Since then I haven't been able to request another increase. This weekend that changed. I was able to request one in the app. A note on the form said they will try to make a decision based on info they had, otherwise they'll do a hard pull. They did an instant hard pull. Got an alert from Experian before the smoke cleared.
Got a message that said they'd let me know. That could go either way with FNBO. They have set up their geo fence again so I can't apply for another FNBO card.Hope that restriction doesn't factor in on getting CLIs on existing cards. Had my fingers crossed I wouldn't waste an inquiry on a CLI. Hope I get something out of it.

Note for future FNBO CLI's call in and ask if any offers that way they will tell you if it will be a HP or not.. If offer then SP otherwise they will state it is a HP. GL on getting something out of the HP
< fingers crossed >

Good info to know, thanks.

Seconded. I always just call in and ask if a SP increase is available.
I'm outside their geofence as well, and they gave me a CLI on my Evergreen since they put it back up. So there's hope.

Calling in is definitely what I'll do from now on. Do you know if they will do a product change? I was hoping to get an Evergreen eventually.
Just to confirm, I agree with Credit Curiosity & Anonymalous..... it was the same for me. I am currently out of the geographic area so I was declined for a new & second card. But called in and requested a CLI on my current Evergreen card only if it would be a soft pull. They gave me a $ 5,000 increase on a soft pull. I call in on all of my cards to request CLI to make sure they are soft pulls.
Freeze those credit reports. Then even when a card issuer gives you the line about how they can't promise if it'll be a SP or HP, or the language on a website seems a bit vague and you're not sure, you can go for it. If they try to HP, it won't go through.

What is your card now that it's graduated? Does it get any rewards?

This right here, it will also stop identity theft in its tracks. Even if they have everything they need the applications will be denied and even better I will get notifications about the attempted credit application and futher action can be taken as necessary. Honestly I feel like credit reports should be locked by default...it would solve a lot of problems. Yes people might be "annoyed" but the hassle to unlock them is worth the peace of mind. It also makes decisions about applying for credit more impactful IMHO. It would slow down a lot of "impulse" credit applications and make people more aware of the process.
