FNBO Evergreen CLI Request now available….

I've been clicking on that link forever and rest it no longer says my card was ineligible for CLI.  Now it sends me to a fill-out form and the info on the bottom says FNBO will try to CLI with internal info but will pull a report if it can't.

Before I actually try this, if I fill out the form and it's approved, that's great BUT would the form kick it back and ask me to approve a hard pull before trying again?

I don't think you'll get a chance to decline their pulling your cr's.  Why don't you call in and ask if you qualify for a sp cli?  That's how others around here have been doing it.  At least that way if you don't qualify for a sp cli then you can deduce a hp is most likely imminent and cancel with the CSR.  But be sure to ask the csr "IF" you qualify or not because you'd rather not receive a hp and are willing to wait...then ask how long would you need to wait to ask again. Re: FNBO Evergreen CLI Request now available….

I agree with GAPeachy,  That's precisely what I did......  I called and clearly asked if I could request an increase without a hard pull.  The rep checked,  said that I qualified...... and I received a $5K increase.   If it would have been a hard pull..... I wasn't going to let them proceed.

So call, you have everything to gain & nothing to lose.

Re: FNBO Evergreen CLI Request now available….

I agree with @GApeachy  and @FishingGuy  I have never seen the web link say I qualify, and I have never had a CSR tell me no.

I always suggest calling in, even on new credit applications and particularly with credit unions. I think talking to a live person and explaining your goals makes you more invested than blindly spending off applications into a server, and if you get an answer you don't like makes it far easier to be instantly be transfered to recon (if it exist) to plead your case.

This of course also assumes the Rep has some authority in the application process, and you have a bit of the gift of gab, I have never had a live individual turn me down for credit, CLIs yes but never new credit, maybe this is luck, my profile, my research before applying... but much like never changing your socks during the playoffs or any other superstitious tradition you might follow it is only weird if it doesn't work.

I'm one of the unfortunates that's always received a "NO" when calling in and my acct is never qualified through the portal, nor do I receive any BT offers either.  I did receive an auto cli not too long ago but that's the only positive outcome for me.

I'm just glad I called in and the csr's understood the assignment.....no hp's!

@pi-r-squared Let us know the outcome.....good luck!

For science what is your spend pattern on the card?

I use my evergreen for sporadic large purchases like 1k dental work, or hotel stays (yes I know I should prolly get a rewards card for this).

I have reached the soft cap of 25k on the card but in 2ish months will be making once last roll of the dice to see if I can make it 30k.

Again idk if it is luck on my part but I always mention how I use the card "confidence making large purchases" as a reason I want more credit, and that is primary thing I use the card for. I have several 2% cards so I try to explain what I am trying to do I have no idea if that is a reason they enter when asking on their software vs what we would enter on the website but it seems to work for me.

In the end, who knows why they do what they do, I am still scratching my head as to why Amex would give me a 50k limit on 300/mo spend, but I will take it.

Re: FNBO Evergreen CLI Request now available….

I called this morning and asked for a soft pull.  After giving housing payment and income info, the rep told me there were no soft pull offers so I declined when asked for a hard pull.  So nothing lost nothing gained!!

Yeah true.  I'm glad you called because I don't think you'd had a chance to decline that hp via online portal.....being you received the sp----->possible hp verbiage.

Me?  Transactions never over $4k and some months $0 transactions.  It's really random how I use this card.  If I felt like I could entice them to offer extra card perks I'd try using it more frequently but I failed at past attempts to get them to be more generous like how they've been with other MF'ers around here.

Re: FNBO Evergreen CLI Request now available….

Honestly, I would have been shocked if there were an SP offer.  I haven't "used" the card besides paying off a 0% BT this month.  I find it coincidental that the link opened up when that $0 balance reported.
