Welp,
The only other credit card I truly could use is the speedway rewards credit card, I spend tons of money on gas & at the station and have a ton of speedy rewards already which I generally redeem for great gas discounts so I figure'd I'd try for the card.
I was auto denied in may due to inquiries but reapplied two days ago in which I was given a message that'll take a week or two to come to a decision. I haven't found many threads on FNBO except a bunch of complains, so my question becomes, anyone think I have a shot at getting this card with any kind of decent SL? I got an e-mail this morning where I can check the status of the application and it's currently stuck in pending.
FNBO is pretty conservative all though there have been some decent CL's for some. I think the perk with them is that they do offer a SP increase every 4-6 months. They seem to issue cards like trying to pull teeth sometimes like the unicorns Zions/Iberia. Just wait it out or give it a couple of days and call them.
While I don't have any experience with that specific card, I do on FNBO as I had their plain Jane Amex card. The reps were very nice and polite. They seemed competent. The bank itself is conservative. It was one of my lower limits. They do soft pull cli's roughly every 6 months, you just have to call in for them. Their website was behind the times. Overall not a bad company from my dealings with them.
If you go to FNBO credit card page, there is a link to check application status.
I appd for FNBO Overstock MC over the summer and it took at least 7 days before I received info on approval or denial. Pretty standard from what I've read. They called after about a week and verified identity. The next day or two I got an email and it showed up approved on the status page. My SL was $3500 with around 9 INQ and several new accounts, most 6-9 months old. Scores in high 600s on EX. I got it to get Overstock rewards and for the regular 4-6 month call-in SP CLIs. I'd like to cancel a couple of other cards when this one gets high enough.
Some people call in and the process moves a little more quickly. For the most part, I am too chicken to do that, so I wait and see.
