Fort Knox Federal. Question about approval process.

Hello,

There is a local CU here in Louisville, KY that's called Fort Knox Federal. I'm interested in building a relationship with them. I emailed asking if it's a HP or SP & for what agency. Does the membership just get you in the door, and then a HP follows? I'm wanting to get their checking/savings & CC.

Good Afternoon:

When applying for Membership with the Credit Union, a soft credit pull(Transunion) is done to obtain verifying information on the Membership Application.

Thanks!

Re: Credit Unions. Question about approval process.

Sounds like SP for membership then it's likely a HP for products. But I'm not familiar with this particular CU.

Gotcha.

I'm new to CU's so I'm not sure either. I wonder what the point of that is. I'll give them a call in the AM.

Do a search for Fort Knox data points. You might find out more info.

It does say soft pull, but from my experience and everything I've read joining a CU is normally a hard pull for membership.
Expect to get a HP, and if it's SP, even better

+1

@lamplight2012, if you'll edit your very first post in this thread and put "Fort Knox Federal" in the subject line you'll be more likely to get replies from people on here with experience specific to Fort Knox Fed, since requirements can vary greatly from CU to CU.  Smiley Wink

Folowed UnlceB's suggestion & corrected the subject line.
