even if you dont have the spend ability Id go for 2 ventures. Then activate the 2nd one after youve met the first. Reps confirmed with venture, the 3 months does not begin until card activation, not when you are approved!

Ya going for 35k or 40k on my ED Sept.. I don't expect good results due to me being bad lately lol.. Who knows I still put about 600-700 on my Amex's per month so anything I guess could happen but I figure since I have 23k on that card already they will say nope!
See the Cap1 approvals can actually exceed your Amex CLI though, hmm..

Interesting maybe I will meet my spend on my new QS really qiuckly and hold off on activiating my Venture until ready if this is true.. Although what CSR's say from Cap1 I take with a grain of salt.

no offense but that is both amazing and hysterical that they would get a limit that high just from 600 a month of spend! This is giving me hope for a CLI after all! If I opened my ED end of May, and they are claiming at activation I requested a CLI and was denied, that means 60 days from activation, right?

No offfense taken.. I was initially approved for 10k on card, then went for 23k and got approved about 500-600 spend on it per month is all.. As stated they can easily decline it, but Amex tends to give out big limits if your income can support it. As stated I doubt they will give it to me, but anything is possible and it is only a sp CLI.. Kinda like Cap1 giving out 20-50k limits on the venture, will people even come close to using those? Amex has to compete with all the lenders handing out 20-40k approvals being Cap1, Chase, Citi etc... Especially with their current cards being meh compared to the competition..Credit i believe truely is an art form and a game.. Not only to us the consumer, but to the banks as they want to match your other CL or beat them so they get use.. Kinda sick actually
In regards to your CLI questions if you were turned down you must wait 90 days before you ask again.
