But, all jokes aside, you should be approved with no problem. I’ve seen people get approved for the Platinum Amex with lower scores than I.

Good luck!

Wish i had known you before i got mine, and knew more about sign up bonus, i only got 35k.. Smiley Sad

When you say lower scores for the Amex Platinum, are you refering to the delta platinum? or the charge platinum?

While i dont doubt that lower scores could get an Amex Platinum, i would have to think they have massive income to offset it

Re: Gold Delta Amex Approval Odds

I am referring to the Platnium American Express Charge Card. There are a number of people that are getting approved for the card with scores around 630 (Experian FICO). The folks getting approved are giving their scores as it appears on the paperwork that comes in the mail with the new card.

I read an article a few days ago of people getting upset that the Platinum AMEX was too easy to obtain and that they did not like the fact that they had 800+ FICO scores that they had worked so hard to get, and people rebuilding / building with scores of 630+ were getting approved. I guess they forget that most people do not like high AF's, and with the Platnium having one of the higher ones (with the exception of the new MasterCard Luxury Card's or the AMEX Centurion Card) they would have to lower the requirements (especially because the AMEX AF just went up by $100.00). Also it is a chargecard so without having a SL they are able to really monitor the spending pattern. Nevertheless, for the most part, customers report that there really is no requirement and if you were approved for one then you mostlikely will be approved for others with limits repective to those cards.

They must have high incomes, i havent seen anyone get one with less than a 670.   Then again alot of issuers are changing to bring in more biz.
