Goodyear Credit Card

Hi,

I'm considering applying for the Goodyear Credit Card. We had some unexpected expensive repairs this year, so the 6-month interest free financing is tempting, so is their discount on tires.

How hard is it to get this card? Thanks.

Re: Goodyear Credit Card

It's a Citi retail card. I've seen people get approved on the spot at the garage I take my car to, but that's all I know about it.

Re: Goodyear Credit Card

It’s not too terribly hard to get approved for, however Firestone will be easier FYI

Re: Goodyear Credit Card

I applied for this card when I needed expensive car repairs 2 years ago and at the time I had a charge off on report. It's backed by Citi. If you decide to go for it always PIF because after the intro 0% APR the rate can be high. It's OK but if you could be approved for a Citi Visa with good rewards I'd go for that instead. I still have mine and just use it for the occasional oil change.

Re: Goodyear Credit Card

Thank you for your replies!

Do you know an approximate min score (given no baddies on report)? Who do they pull?

We always pay off in full within the required period (have Apple Barcley and CareCredit, which both offer 0% financing but high APR after the financing period, so know the drill)

Do you know whether the tire discount is always available or only during a promotional period (like the Apple Barcley)

Re: Goodyear Credit Card

Minimum usually is 670 ish, they are pulling Ex here in Florida. The card always gets you double what the current rebate deal is, plus 0%financing as well
