Got a letter from Synchrony today...

And it basicaly said there are two different names on your credit report and if you did apply for credit no response is needed. I recently got VS and Gap cards which I believe are both synchrony. I got declined for Wal Mart and am just wondering if that is a syncrhrony card now and if so could that be the reason for the decline? I applied to wal mart online and not in the actual store.

VS is a Comenity card but Gap and Wal-Mart are both Synchrony.

Op - you might want to call transunion and ask them what name (s) are in your credit file. Also call walmart back door number and ask them what can you do to get a approval. Good luck

I will defenitely call them. It makes no sense to me that I would get declined on this card honestly. However Sams Club Discover was IIB so Im wondering if thats an issue but I will call them anyway.
