Hi everyone,
Just went through the process of applying to the AMEX Platinum (which I was approved for) - you can see my thread regarding that here on the forums as well.
I eat out almost 4 days out of the week so it makes sense to go for that Chase card because of the points.
Now, I just got the card yesterday, however, since I still have a thin file (4 cards in total not counting the AMEX Plat) do you find it worthy to pursue a Chase Sapphire Preffered Card? Also, to those experiened users out there who have received this card, do you think I will get approved? FYI: I am a Chase user and have been with them since 2006.
Here are my stats:
Thanks in advance!
Just a thought, but if you're looking for points for eating out maybe look at the AMEX Gold. Since you just got the Plat, it would help to keep all your points in the MR pool.
Congrats on the Platinum Card
Chase SP is a great card, I say if you want it you have the DP to get it although watch out for the 5/24!
But it's also a Compelling Point for the AMEX Gold given the fact you pay at the end of the week and can take advantage of those AMEX Points... Decisions Decisions
ALL GOOD THOUGH!

Will the AmX Plat make this 5/24? If yes, I would check Chase preapproval first, and if you have one, apply in branch. If no, still check preapproval before applying. Does any of your cards have a $5K CL?
