Hello so back in 2007 I burned am-ex, chase and citi for over 100000 total in cc debt. After 7 years of dodging collections calls and letters I no longer have any collections on my ck reports nor are there any collections on any of my cra on myfico and scores are 705 with eq 700 ex and 690 with TU. I have a barclays, discover student, 3 cap one cards, total rewards visa and an fnbo am ex along with 8 inquiries on reports. So I am really curious to see if this citi double cash offer in my hands is legit or if I should try chase or amex and whether or not it would be soft or hard pull based on past relationships with them. Anybody know for sure ? Of the three which one should I check for curiousity and which would be soft pull if in fact they take my history with them in major consideration?

Dude, you burned those three lenders for a ton of money. Why would they let you back in right away after all of that? Why did you take on that much debt in the first place? I'm surprised that you were able to get any credit after burning those banks for a 1/10th of a million dollars and never paid them back so I think they'd all be pretty mad even now. I have heard of people who have been able to get back in with Amex but it took them a really long time before that happened BTW.
Chase especially never forgets. They have a memory of an elephant. Citi's the same too and likewise with Amex. Just accept that you made some serious mistakes in the past and move on. Even if you do ever try to apply for any of those again, you'll have a lot to answer for and they will most likely result in denials for good reason.
And they will all be hard pulls
some other people on the baords have said its a soft pull

It is a SP if you are a current Amex memebr.
I would write off all 3 of them unless you are prepared to PIF the prior COs.

That's what I'd also do if I were the OP if he really still wanted to have cards with them. I don't think they'd let him off the hook just like that.
What do you mean write them off unless prepared to PIF? prior charge offs. Sorry I am somewhat new to this terminology.

Only if you are denied. If you are approved, then it is a HP.
