Re: Hard/Soft Pull

Honesty is one thing but several jabs have been taken in this thread. If OP had not listed amount (total amount) burned for, the replies would have been much different IMO. Several people on this board have burned each of these lenders for significant amounts in the past and been able to climb back in bed with them.

Amex from what I have observed 8-22 years SP denial if still BL.

Citi 8-12 years HP even BL

Chase 8-X years HP even BL

Just what I have seen, I am sure several have been BL longer but most just stop trying.

That being said, OP, 8 years post meltdown clean reports and several TL reporting your scores seem very low. If you currently have very high UTL dragging your scores down you need to address that first. Not just for scores but also to ensure the meltdown doesn't repeat itself. Any burned lender will surely note your current behavior and if deemed risky will keep you out. Good luck!

If anyone needs me I will be In The Garden. Goal Score: 760 for all in 2015.
Current FICO Scores EX: 715 EQ: 756 TU: 762
Last APP April 21, 2015.
Victim of The great AMEX HP heist of Dec 1st, 2nd and 3rd of 2014.

You are correct.  If OP had not mentioned $100K the answers may have been different.  However, he did mention that amount, and $100k is not an insignificant amount.  I will quote someone,"if we wanted to be in the Boys Scouts, we would have joined the Boys Scouts".  I say that to say this, has the OP wanted us to give him/her platitudes of it being okay and "just go ahead and apply..anything is possible" that would be doing a disservice.  The reality in this situation is that the creditors in question are gonna run from OP as if he had the plague.  And saying anything different is not going to get him an approval letter.

And which of these lenders in questions are going to be the first to raise their hands to offer the OP $10k in credit?
