Straight to the point:
with 685 I was prequal on chase for freedom and slate and I went for the freedom.
Now to my mom.
She has the Capital One secured that credit stepped last month to $500 she got that on 12/2016
She also has NY&Company with 400$
She cleared some things from her credit and is only left with 4 or 5 medical collections all of 52-62$ and one of 1400 that she is handling with hippa from like 3 years ago.
She wanted a second unsecured card and was prequal for Capital 1 quick silver 1 and quick silver.
&
to our amazement she was prequal for Chase Slate, Freedom unlimited, Fredom, Chase Saphire Preferred. 4 cards
The pull database says that people with 645 and on get approved in NJ for Chase anything.
My mom scores today are:
630 Experian
633 Transunion
645 Equifax
Everyone says Chase prequals are solid but look at her scores. Are they really solid. She was not getting prequals from them before and now boom 4 cards. So for those that have applied what are her chances? In our state they pull Experian and or Transunion
Help me help her. If she can jump capital one all together great but what are her odds at the card and starting limit.
TIA

Why not wait until her scores go up a little and then apply for Freedom or Freedom Unlimited (also btw Chase AARP is a good one)
