The two cards are totally different. A lot people love both of them.
For me, I have the Hyatt card. The annual night more than cover the $75 fee. The earning rate of the card is just good enough.
I do not have the Alaska card since I already have the Ritz Carlton card and get the airline discount. And I do not fly to the West coast much as I want to.
Well I was told to pound sand from Alaska Air I tried to recon and was denied again
Not enough time with credit, too high balance. I even told them I will Open a checking account with BofA and match my Limit, give me $15K i will go deposit 15K give me more I will match it...They denied me still
I was also denied the 3X with Amex...Im done back to the garden I go
Congrats on getting your list of cards in just over a year. Advisable to use them wisely for another 6 months or a year, build up your history and internal score with both Chase and BofA.
The main factors may be short credit history, and trying to get a Visa Signature card with the $5k limit they prefer. Kind of a big hurdle right now, but with time, you will get there.
