Should I be scared to go on any kind of spree and set off any red flags in case that CL is legit...

Set off red flags with who? Amex or other CC?
Both...
I was hoping to get in with 3 different banks as most recommended. And maybe a credit union if I still need it.
Congrats on the approval! I'd say give it time to report, which may take two billing cycles, use it responsibly for two to three mos. then apply for your third card.
Congrats! I was approved for the same CL too. I still can't beleive that they gave me that much too Lol Amex being generous lately it seems.

haha well first rep told me they just needed to verify some info so it went for manual review.
Second rep admitted they had problems with aps that day so it's in a different team for manual review. Computer glitches.
My theory is they got bombarded with aps and some overworked, stressed kid who just about had his coffee this morning and hates their job just approved them all for a ridiculous amount to get rid of them. Haha

CapOne should hire some of those stressed and overworked kidos.
