Barclays security asked for verification docs (SS card; DL; UT bill) on the phone that I sent and tracked their receipt over two weeks ago. Then they sent a letter asking for less items (UT bill only) for verification. I sent all the info again with tracking that was delivered. Each time I use the application status site it shows they cannot issue a card although I received an email saying the the app is pending until the additonal items are received. The can't issue a card has been there since the app online even though the email after the app and speaking with them by phone says pending.
Is the site current, does it change or just stay with the initial can't issue a card message even though they are verifying? I called twice and they said they are behind give them a few more days, that was a week ago after the second set of veriication docs were sent. The first set was addressed to security who requested them on the phone, the seond set was addressed to card services who sent the letter.
I really don't like all the calling and holding and transferring so I thought the application status site would give me the info (yes or no) that I am seeking but it's never changed since the initial onlline app.
