Thank you so much imaximous for your help.

The thing is, that link has been always there!! permanently !!!

can i give you a quick summary of my history and you can help me? Or is there a way to send private message?

That link stays there till you get approved for a CLI. Then, it goes away by the following day, and comes back some time later. In my case, it comes back about 2 months from the last CLI approval, but I wait till the 3rd month to submit another request. The one time I got denied, the link stayed there. A few days later, I made another request and was approved. Then it disappeared for a couple of months again.

I open my first cc boa cash rewards in feb 18 300 secured, no ITIN no SSN then i upgraded it to 2000,in april, then in september i asked to unsecure it, granted. and then i tried several applications for cards and loansbecause i thought it would not be reported, as i did not  have a number to report on( no itin, no ssn) but then i got a free report and saw that, when i applied they could not find me in the buereaus to give me the CC but they all found me to report HP´S ...thats very unfair... so i got 2 personal loans, with oportun and lendify and TRY a CLI to 4000 with BOA rejected, ended up with like 5 OR 6HP, my credit went from 686 to 617, 70 POINT DROP...

Now i am waiting to drop april and may applications from last year and i need to know what would be my next step?

i am receiving a lot of letters on the mail for capital one platinum, and i already have an itin number.

i believe the next step will be in may to PIF the 2 loans, and ask for a CLI  BOA because is my only credit card and i want it to have a high limit, so the other that come next will also high limits.... Im also aware that some people say get a second and third card and let them age.... but for me there is no point on having a 300 cap on plat, then wait 5 montsh to get it to 850...then another 5 months to get it to 1500...no sense for me...

i prefer to have few cards but monster limits, 15k up as i am a business owner and sometimes need hard cash for investments.

I'm not sure I can help with the rest. You're in a unique situation because you didn't have a SSN or ITIN at the time you applied. I honestly don't know BoA's policies in this regard. Maybe someone else around here can chime in or speak with a specialist in their lending department. You could also try to get some guidance from a banker at a local branch to start. Sorry I can't offer any other advice.

I was going to say that you should update your info with the ITIN at BoA, but I don't even know if BoA uses that for credit decisions instead of a SSN.

Re: How often for BOA CLI?

everythings has been updated regarding the itin. my creditors have it, and the bureaus have it.

so i am now a normal person, with a normal credit file since feb 2018.

treat me as a normal credit person now heheh

i believe i am in the mid 600´s now.

BOA CASH REWARDS 2000 UNSECURED

Oportun loand 2300

Lendify loan 1200

receiving Cap One Plat letters.

I am gardening to rise up my scores for an apartment in april or may.

I always PIF but after the statement comes out, so my utilization was very high, but now i will PIF before the statement  and leave it under 8.9%

What should be the next step?

-PIF the Loans?

-Get a CLI on BOA?

-Get the cap one plat?

If the only thing keeping your scores in the mid 600s is your utilization, then that's what I'd work on. But if you have other issues like late payments, etc., then that's another story.

Before applying for any other card or even a CLI, I'd work on improving my profile. Keep UTIL low and see what type of impact it has on your score. Once your score rebounds, go for a CLI first because it's a soft pull with BoA and if you get a decent amount, it may help with your approval odds and starting lines with other lenders.

I'm not sure how many other lenders offer credit cards to people with ITINs, but I think Amex and Citi do as well. I'd go for Amex first if they interest you as a lender. I just don't know your rewards goals.

CapOne is a great bank for starter cards, but I'd still go for Amex first if I were you. I'd rather burn a single HP trying to get in with a much better lender (IMO) than 3 HPs for a bucket card. You already have a history of over a year, so that works in your favor as long as you can take care of your current profile before you do anything.

In short, this is what I'd do: improve credit file > attempt CLI with BoA and wait till new limit gets reported > apply for Amex card (if you like them).

This may take some time, but I believe in applying when credit is at its best rather than get mediocre results.
