Hello. I was wondering how often I should ask for a credit limit increase for NFCU?
does the NFCU DLI is a HP OR SP ?
From what ive read it seems to very from person to person. But mine was most definitely a hard pull. it stung a bit. 8pt loss. But not that I got the increase i feel better about it.
Read the NFCU CLI thread by Credit Addict, CA has all of the answers in there and he/she is an expert in all things NFCU. Follow credit addicts advice and your limits will grow nicely.
I requested the max CLI at 3 statements, 90 days and received a EQ HP (FICO- 657) and review message on 4/22/17. Still haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming it's a no-go. So, it appears that soft versus hard pulls vary per individual. I'll continue to make due with my $14,300 SL that I rarely use. Just sharing my experience.
Yeah I agree with you on that. I Got my card back at the end of November 2016. They gave me a SL of $1700 and just bumped me up $1500 bringing me to $3200.00. Its not a huge CLI like I was hoping but again its way better than taking a hp for nothing.
Well they should send you a letter. But look at your Credit limit. Thats how I knew mine was approved. They didnt call or email to let me know the CLI had been approved. I just so happened to be looking at my acct and I said hmm.. Let me go look at my CL and sure enough it had been increased. Go take a look. Wouldnt hurt.. When you requested the CLI did you increase your income? That is key. You may want to increase your income by at least $3000
Yes, I've checked on the website and my limit remains the same. lol. I think I did increase my income as it did go up in Feb. by $2000. I was trying to wait on the letter before calling in to inquire. I also called in immediately (within 30 seconds) when I received the review message to avoid the hard pull, but it was too late. Another poster suggested uploading check stubs. I wonder if that would help in my situation?
