So, I called twice. The first one said no- the second analyst listened and was really helpful. He basically said, the 7 is to recent and that as soon as I have 3-6 months of history to apply again. He and I spoke for about 20 mins and I grilled him about utilization rates, diversifying my credit profile by taking a credit builder loan, and if secured cards were worth it. He gave me his ID number and said they would happy to take me as a customer after 6 months and to call for reconsideration from him. So maybe it's bs, but he made a point to say he was noting my account and was helpful. I guess I will have to wait and see
I was able to get the Priceline card about 4 months after discharge, and they have given pretty nice CLI's through the years. At the time I only had a CapOne and a very old Macy's that survived the BK. After you get a few months age on the CapOnes call your contact back.
