Huntington 3x Rewards Denial, Freedom Unlimited Pre-approval

Hey guys! So I applied for the Huntington Bank 3x Rewards Card and was denied because "unable to verify address". Called customer service and they said to go to a branch and I would have to reapply.

However, I have a pre-approval offer for the Chase Freedom Unlimited and I have only opened 4 accounts in the past 24 months.

My credit profile is 770 on TU and EQ. 2% utilization on $23,200. 17 total accounts, 1 inquiry, and $43k income.

Should I go for it? I also do not have a 1.5% or 2% card.

Are those your Fico scores or the ones from Credit Karma?

Credit Karma. Had the FICO score last month say 760 but my utilization dropped since then to 2%

I think you are good, but I don't know enough about Huntington to give you sound advice, but I'm sure others will chime in. Smiley Happy

Good luck!

Thanks! Approved for 4.5k. I'll take it. I will probably stop at a Huntington Branch to see if they could verify my address but I defitinely won't let them initiate another HP.

Congrats!  Chase pre-approvals are pretty much a given.  That's the same SL they gave me.  My first was a Freedom at $2,200.  A CSP at $5,000.  Then I closed the Freedom and transferred all but $500 to my CSP.  The FU pre-approval came up and was given a $4,500 SL.
