I never get any good pre-qualified offers in the mail

I sometimes get offers from banks I've never heard of but never get anything from the good banks. The only baddie on my reports is a BK from 2009 and my scores are in the 740s. I used to always see offers years ago.

Edited to add - Do major credit card companies still sent these out or are they few and far between?

Do you have a question or just thinking out loud? Smiley Tongue

Unless you got some derogs, your profile should qualify for just about any cards without prequal offers.  I cold apped and was approved for 9 cards last year between April and September, only Discover (10th) was a prequal and I'm sure I would have been approved without it knowing what I know now.

Your post made me realize I didn't include my question Smiley Happy

I'm not looking for new cards at this time.  Waiting to see what my scores are after the BK falls off in less than a year. Today's mail got me thinking about this.  I received mail from Marcus (they always send me offers) and BBVA which I've never heard of.

Re: I never get any good pre-qualified offers in the mail

I get Platinum, PRG, PNC (have mortgage with them) and TD (been banking with them for 25+ years) regularly, on the business side, I get CapOne Spark. I also get a bunch of personal and business loan offers from a handful of companies like On Deck, Best Egg...etc., none of them interests me so it goes right into the recycling bin immediately. The only one that peaked my interest is PNC business checking with $300 SUB which I'm about to open in a few weeks, just for the SUB though.
