Interesting offer. This seems like a smarter way of allocating points for AMEX, it's a good way to get people to retain their cards for year two and pay the fee.
The 50k offer is better imo, and i'm glad I got it because now I have so little use for the card that I plan to cancel before the fee hits. Now i'm just looking to see the best way to use my 55k points before then.

I would keep this card if I had it. My EX score is just 670 and I also have their Optima card for less than a year so I don't know if I will get it.

4K in one year is easy to spend and 2K in 3 months is not that difficult. If only I could this.. this hurts my head

There is a better 100K MR offer for Platinum, I would hold off for Platinum but definitely get PRG if I could

You should app, remember their charge cards are easier to get than revolvers.  Also if you have an amex it's a sp if denied only a hp if approved, most of the time.

I decided my next Amex will only be a Platinum so I'll be patiently waiting for the 100k offer. I've gotten the 65K PRG offer and the 75K platinum offer a few times but never the 100k Platinum..

Yea I would also wait for AmEx 100K MR offer. I just hope it doesn't come at the same time I go for PRG. I don't MS and all my usage is organic so I can't spend 5k in 3 months on AmEx.

I recently receive the PRG card. I went to look at the Platinum benefits and there was a box inviting me to apply for an upgrade (I was logged in). That surprised me.

Newbie question – where are you all seeing these offers? What is "FF" in the first post? Are you all AmEx members and logged into the online banking site or something?
