I've been contemplating adding a Sam's Club card, does anyone know their standards?

Attempting to find out what is required for a Sam's Club card. Does anyone know which CRA they use, and what type of scores you need to be approved? I've read that they are pretty good at growing your credit limit if used right. Anything you can add or share from your experience with this card would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Looking at the CBDB on pulls 700+ should = MC version

Store version is easier on the scores especially with a fresh BK.  I can't recall if they'll make you wait 2 years or not but, it's still worth a shot.

@After you get the card call CS @ 877-379-8173 and ask for $10K or more... they'll counter if they won't approve

Once your TU hits 700+ hold onto your seat and go for $25K with CS

Its a good card if you shop at Sams and/or Walmart with the understanding that it needs to be paid in full each month unless you have a promotional 0% APR purchase - PIF because the regular APR is high (23%+), oh and your cash back is paid once a year, not every month or quarter.

At one time I had a Walmart store card, which was upgraded to the MC version, but once I got the Sams MC, I canceled the Walmart card, no need because Sams can be used at walmart - not too that the Sams card as an annual fee in the form of a membership cost (same as the cost BJ's or Costco membership tied to their credit card).

I was denied twice last year with scores in the 650's with pre-approvals each time.  Once a mailer and once a register pop-up.  I may try one more time after my AAoA goes up a bit.

Hubby got approved a year ago for 837 (odd number) with ~670 TU, but it was clean. He's now at 8500

Synchrony pulls TU the majority of the time. Store card is much easier than the MC version and to get the MC version, you would most likely need to clear atleast a 720 TU score for a guaranteed approval. Anything less is a YMMV situation.
