Received my denial letter today, and the reason I was rejected???? Wasn't because I sucked, or had too many derogs, OR because I have 5% body fat (well, don't hate me because I'm beautiful 
)... I was denied because I had too many cards (or inquiries) with them, that's it! I recently received a Chase Slate card, and figured I push my luck since I was still showing a preapproval for a Freedom card. Soooooooooooooo, at this point I'm going to sit my happy butt in the garden, and wait a couple of years and go for the CSP!!

My plan was to apply for the Slate, use the 15 month 0% BT option, and at the 15 month mark apply for the CSP, since I have a Discover IT with 5% cashback categories already.... I figured I would be in a good position in a year and a half get a CSP, but my trigger finger got itchy and I couldnt resist the temptation of apping... Bad thing is I took a 2 point hit for the additional HP!!

Wow. I was also denied for pretty much the same reasons when I requested a cli after approval for Freedom but it didn't make me happy like you. I don't like denials of any kind from banks
