Received a letter in the mail last week that I was pre-approved for IKEA Visa. Was wondering if it would be a hard or soft pull coming from Cominity?

Comenity almost always hard-pulls.

As others mentioned above OP, I would expect a HP.

Just be careful with them.  I work for Ikea.  If you purchase something and return it, it takes at least a month for Ikea to process a refund and to return the money back to your card. They will then charge interest on your purchase.  If you plan on going to the Brooklyn store, add another month for them to process the refund and add additional interest charges.
