Increasing the odds of getting AMEX basic Charge Card

The minimum score for Amex membership appears to be approximately 640 on Equifax FICO Score 8.  I've seen lower scores accepted but 640 seems to be the cutoff for their "credit steps" program.

I don't know about that...I was approved for a BCE but denied for the Green Card and later the PRG when my scores were even better.

Its not on the main Amex website.  You can see your application history by going to the Status Check site and completing the requested info:  https://www262.americanexpress.com/eaol/welcome.do
