Inquiries not reporting?

Hi, all!

Just a quick question...I hard app'd for a couple of different cards and wasn't approved (another story for another time) about a month or so ago...and they aren't reporting in my inquiries at all? I don't see anything about the new inquiries on CK or the Experian app.

Re: Inquiries not reporting?

Sometimes the creditor may deny your app without checking your credit report. One example is when the applicant is blacklisted by Amex, then Amex will instantly deny without doing any credit inquiry.

Under rare occasions the application could end up with a soft inquiry after submitting, either approved or denied. If this is the case, the inquiry will not show in credit monitoring services, and you will have to pull a full report directly from the credit bureau to see it.

Either way, you have to refer to the denial letter stating why you were denied, and if they are making the decision based on any of your credit report.

Consider yourself lucky and enjoy it...at least not getting the inquiries will help to lessen the sting from the denials.
