Have seen lots of posts that state: "If you've had the account for at least 6 months, or 6 months since your last CLI, you're eligible."
I've only had the card for 3.5 months and my 0% balance transfer promo expires end of this month. Support email suggested I could apply manually if CLI button doesn't show up but the people who respond on support have made mistakes in the past.
Wanted to know if anyone else has been able to get a CLI approval this quickly with lots of use on the card? Been a member for 2+ years and have had 2 auto loans with them.
Apprecaite any help!
I'm fairly certain it is a hard rule, yes, *unless* they show you a preapproved offer for the same card in your online portal, and then I think you can take that as a CLI. I'll ping @coldfusion as I believe they know more.

6 months mininum after approval is the party line and I've never heard of anyone successfully bypassing it. That doesn't mean it can't be done if one was willing to roll the dice and risk a HP to find out.
In this particular case the OP has already been a member for a couple of years so it's possible they may get a SP quarterly offer extended on October 1, although their having cut way back on the number of quarterly offers extended on July 1 from previous quarters may signal a paradigm shift on Penfed/s part. If an offer is extended for card already held accepting it will be processed as a CLI on the existing card.

Thank you I confirmed with them as well and it seems 6/mo is the soonest.
@KnowledgeSeekr If you are able to see a link on the desktop Penfed account page then you can request. Likely an EQ HP. I saw it at 4 months after SL as discussed here:

So your BT promo at the start of your new card was only 4 months? Does not seem right. All new cards right now are at least 12 months per their site. Gold is 15 and mine was 15 on a PCR. Yes I know YMMV but that is a big and important (intere$t) vary.

I just got a 15 month at zero bt from a new gold card i opened a month or 2 ago.
Usually 6 months before they will entertain CLI.
For BT's, I have a PCR CC few years old, always get 0% BT checks in the mail,
12 months 0% - 18 months 1.99%
Always on going 12 month 0% offers if doing a BT online.
I think the OP meant that the offer to use it was about to expire, not the term of the offer itself.

Ahh that makes more sense then. OP just see if you have a link on your account page. If you don't you can't. Try CSR, you never know. I don't believe there is a 6m hard cap on CLI since I saw my link at 4m as reposted upthread.
