My friend has the Chase Marriott card and wants to app for the Ritz...is there any reason to have both, or should she close the Marriott?
Well, honestly the benefits don't overlap that much. You get a free night each year with the Marriott which basically takes care of the annual fee. You get a huge (140k) sign-up bonus with the Ritz and $300 annual airline credit as well as lounge access. I'd just keep the Marriott and app for the Ritz. Or if she wants to close the Marriot move the CL over after getting approved.
