Is Truist still a SP approval through the prequal site?

Is Truist still a SP approval through the prequal site? after some digging around could not find anything recent. I am pre approved for 5 cards, just wondering if the no HP is still working. As a side note just applied for a CLI increase on PenFed and was declined. Quite salty about that...

There are some recent DPs that have cited HP after the fact as well as SP. No rhyme or reason, but approved for some who reported their DPs.

I'd say that if you were already salty by the CLI outcome with PenFed, then temper expectations with Truist in the event you get hit with a HP on their pre-approved offers.

At the end of the day, a HP for getting approved isn't the end of the world. The bigger impact is going to be when the new account reports 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for the feedback, another side note about Penfed. Just before requesting a cli I was pre approved for a signature loan for 20k.

When I got 2 Truist cards in October 2022, the SP still worked.
[These types of discussions are not permitted per the myFICO TOS @markbeiser].

If it is still working, you will get the card(s) with only a soft pull. If it isn't working, the application will be denied because your credit is locked.

You have to do it through their prequalification page, not the normal credit card app page.

Worked for me last month. I only got a SP no HP at all reported. Pulled Equifax and just reported my first statement 1/5/23. That dinged my credit more than a HP probably would have  ...for now....

It was a SP for me as well early December, but I do have several accounts with them already... The SP was on Equifax.
