After seeing that screen probably over a million times I can see with utmost uncertainty that that screen in a denial. I only have my bucketed cards to thank for that. I love the reasons they give though for me one time I got insufficient experience at my current CL been at it for 2+ years. I have also gotten that "Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low" used the card and pif and got too much usage. I don't get it either. I closed my QS1 yesterday and my QS today. Hopefully if I do get another card from them it will grow.

Wait. Are you saying that you used the card and PIF, and their next reason for denial is that you used the card too much? I'm putting more useage on my card for the "not enough useage" reason. The last time that I did this, it worked. I hope that I don't get a decline for using TOO much. How much are you putting on the card and how many times are you PIF before statement cut?

Re: Is this a CLI denial from Capital One?

Most if not all of my CLI requests came back with that message. And I always got a denial from Capital One a day later...never seen what a requested CLI approval looks like with them. My only 2 CLI's out of all my 3 cards and 9 years of having Capital One where automatic within the first 6 months lol.

I always get "A credit limit increase is currently not available upon request because Capital One is evaluating account activity at assigned credit limits" when I put a lot of spend on it or too little use.

I don't recall if I ever got this reply before. It was usually YES approved, or No, not at this time.

I realized its been over 6-months since the last request and DD has been putting
heavy spend on the card. SL was @ $6500 and I was asking $10K (expecting to get $500 Smiley LOL)
and I got this:

If I had to guess, I would think its no, but if no, why not just say it like the past?

To everyone here, you are correct, it was a denial:

"Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low"

Capital One, ugh, I never understand them. Anyways, NBL Smiley Happy

Yes Cap1 is a strange one to figure out but they do help you get in the door during rebuilding. The reasons they give and sometimes the way you get the denials often make no sense. *they tell you a reason-you correct the reason then they deny you with another reason-and usually if they do a cli more times than not it's around a 100 dollar*

Cap1 was my 1st and 3rd card during my rebuild though. My 1st one is still secured (3 yrs 6 months) my second one went from 750 to 3750 auto after 2 yrs 6 months. (during that time period requested cli 3 times with denials being weird reasons).

Generally if I need a good laugh I'll read some posts where people are searching for the logic behind their Cap1 denials.

Me reading those posts..........
