Do they ever approve it after getting the canned response?
It's possible that additional verification may be required. Often times SYNCB (the issuer of the JPC CC) also provides a reference number which can be used to contact them to continue the processing of the application. I would wait for the letter to see if any additional information may be requested (if any).
