Would OP still have the same problem if he apped for Delta Skymiles?
I did the same thing. Closed on Mortgage and Went on a app spree and was approved for an AmEx Everyday with a 2k limit with a 660 VantageScore. No Bankruptcy though
meanmchine,
Do you think it makes a different based on the product? I guess charge cards are easier to get?
To offer u some hope there are people on this board who got approved by AX 3-4 yr post BK. ESP on co branded. Try the AX Delta Gold, Scwab AX or PFCU AX easier to get and nay open the door later on for other AX products.
From what I understand (and I welcome a correction), a Centurion Bank American Express is different from getting an American Express from another bank. It may be called co-branding with other banks.
If you want to just have a card with the AMEX logo, you can get it from a number of different banks with different degrees of difficulty. You can get even a secured AMEX through SavingsStar. Unfortunately, it's not the same as "getting in" with American Express - Centurion Bank.
I was approved for Amex Hilton with BK that discharged 02-2008 and score of 628 and 90 inquires.
AX will sometimes let u in 4-5 yrs post BK if not IIB.
Sad to hear about your denial....Maybe next yaer early try the pre approval site....did you try that route this time or was it a cold app?

Thanks, but with a 4.5yr old bk they blatantly told me they want nothing to do with me til 7 to 10yr after the bk closed. Lame as heck but it is what it is.
Nah! Their new rule is 5 years
you don't have much longer
