Been steadily paying off cards...tried again...still no dice.
...and what are your scores?

X2.
I kinda feel your pain OP. I've been trying to recon my denial for TYP but no dice. I was told that because I have one collection that that's enough. Even though I have 100% payment history for over 6 1/2years. The women I talked to today tried all she could, even speaking with a supervisor, but unfortunately, the have this policy. I did mention that I would be disputing it, but was informed that it would result in another HP if I tried after my dispute. With two HPs from them for this one card, I will pass.
Id go for a Venture/Venture One double app back to back... 1 of them would be good for BT also!
Sorry to hear that, OP, but in your Barclay's thread, you said you have 60 INQ?
Citi is very INQ sensitive, so that is likely the main reason.
You should check the Citi preapproval site, to see whether a specific APR turns up. If you get only a "you might like" or you get a range of APR, it's likely not a good time to app yet. If you get a definite card suggestion and a set, single, APR, that's a better time to app.
But the INQ are going to take a while to age off, so you might need to be patient.

Where does that suggestion come from, exactly? That's a potential 6 HPs.
OP has 60 inquiries and honestly shouldn't be apping for anything.
If you need a BT offer, seek out your existing lenders and ask for one. I don't get why people always want to open new cards strictly for BTs when issuers hand out BT offers like candy in most cases.
Seek out an offer from one of your existing cards and let those inquiries age IMO.
