Just got Cap One - What next?

I previously only had a $500 secured card, just got approved for Venture 1 and QS 1. Mostly because Cap one uses bankcard enhanced or mortgage scores  and my scores in both are much higher than my 08's.

Should I just sit tight and wait till they report for 6 months, or is there something else I may have a shot at? Chase Prequal says no, as does Citi.

thanks!

I think you should sit tight as 08 is what most banks use.  Do you have any baddies on your report?

Congrats on the approvals.

That's a very odd combination of cards...2 of the less desired Cap1 cards... Venture1 and QS1.  One with Annual Fee and one without.

I personally would have applied for the Venture and Quicksilver instead... just putting it out there in case somebody else is thinking of applying and don't know which 2 Cap1 cards to apply for.

Yes you are right. The reason why I went for QS1 is because I was honeslty expecting at $300 or $500 limit,  and I didn't want to shoot to high for the QS. Then since I got $3000 I apped right away for the Venture1. Down the road maybe I can PC the QS1 to the QS - but for now I could not be happier! One pull on each bureau, used the same one for both cards.

Re: Just got Cap One - What next?

Congrats on the approvals
Keep in mind that you cannot PC a QS1 to QS or a Venture One to Venture. Cap One does not PC MC to Visa or vice versa. You can however apply for a Siggy in the future. May I ask what your Fico scores were when approved for the V1?
